For three consecutive years, the American performing rights organization ASCAP named Joss Favela “Composer of the Year,” making him the youngest artist to receive this honor. In 2019, he was featured in Forbes’ “30 Under 30,” being the only Mexican regional singer included. He has also won multiple individual awards for various hits that have topped the charts.

On May 10th, Joss Favela released the EP titled Mis Compas Vol. 1, a celebration of friendship featuring six songs with renowned artists such as Banda MS, Erick Aragón “Codiciado,” Gera MX, Los Plebes del Rancho de Ariel Camacho, Luis R. Conriquez, and Yuridia. This material explores the sub-genres of Mexican regional music that resonate most with Joss and his collaborators, celebrating their musical roots and blending styles.
