MIAMI, FL (November 7, 2024) – In recent months, the members of Matisse returned to the studio to compose new music, which was unveiled on March 13 with the release of “¿Qué Esperabas?,” the first single of a new musical era for the band.  

According to Pablo Preciado, the song “talks about those people who refuse to forget, move on, and continue with their lives after the end of a relationship.” Delivered through a fresh ballad with Pop influences, it reflects Matisse’s current sound.  

“¿Qué Esperabas?” comes after 10 years of career and countless experiences for Pablo Preciado, Román Torres, and Melissa Robles, showcasing the growth and maturity of both the band and its members.  

“This is the first song that marks the beginning of this new chapter. We started writing the new album at the end of last year, and when we stepped into the studio to record ‘¿Qué Esperabas?’ we felt a lot of magic. The result is amazing — very Matisse, but also very different,” said Melissa Robles about the track.  

The single is accompanied by a music video directed by Monterrey-based filmmaker Leche, portraying Matisse in a unique light — as a trio of thieves making a getaway after committing a crime.  

The official video, along with the powerful essence of the song, proves that Matisse’s sound is more relevant than ever as they gear up for the release of their upcoming album.

Miami, FL (March 13, 2025) – In 2002, the film ‘Amarte Duele,’ directed by Fernando Sariñana, burst onto the Mexican cinema scene, leaving a lasting mark on the era’s filmmaking and pop culture. The love story between Renata and Ulises, a contemporary Romeo and Juliet, resonated deeply with a generation that also found a reflection of teenage love’s complexities and emotions in the film’s soundtrack.  

It was through this soundtrack that Ximena Sariñana’s talent was fully unveiled. Until then, Sariñana had primarily worked as an actress — even appearing in the film as Mariana — but she also contributed three songs that marked the beginning of her journey as the prodigious musician she would become.  

Inspired by the themes of the movie and her own experiences, Ximena Sariñana, still on the cusp of adulthood, embarked on her first musical experiments. In the quest to discover her sound, yet with a clear vision, she crafted three songs that captured the power of her youthful spirit.  

“Cuento,” “Mañana no es hoy,” and “Las huellas,” born in the emotional landscape of the film, laid bare her deepest feelings — broken dreams, adolescent passions, and first loves. These tracks became the perfect introduction to Ximena, an essential glimpse into the anatomy of her music.  

Forgotten for years on digital platforms, Ximena Sariñana has now chosen to breathe new life into these musical gems. Re-recorded in 2025, with their original essence intact, these songs aim to captivate a new audience while commemorating a pivotal stage in her career, as the artist prepares to explore new sonic horizons.
