XIMENA SARIÑANA PRESENTS “FRÁGIL” LIVE FROM THE XITLE VOLCANO AND UNVEILS HER NEW ALBUM ‘EXISTENCIA KAMIKAZE’
Miami, FL (August 1, 2025) – For Ximena Sariñana, live music is a cornerstone of her creative concept. That’s why the singer-songwriter has released a new video for her song “Frágil,” recorded live at the foot of the Xitle Volcano in the south of Mexico City.
Originally presented as part of the EP ‘Ojos Diamante,’ “Frágil” is a song about vulnerability in love, brought to life through the voices of Ximena Sariñana and Samantha Barrón, who wrote it together with Patricio Dávila.
For this live version, Ximena Sariñana chose to record at the base of the Xitle Volcano to reflect the creative idea behind ‘Existencia Kamikaze,’ a concept inspired by the documentary “Fire of Love,” which tells the story of two volcanologists who described their lifestyle as “kamikaze” due to the dangers of their profession alongside the beauty of a volcano.
“I wanted to find a space that was highly representative of Mexico City, a city surrounded by volcanoes. The Xitle Volcano is the one that has most impacted the terrain of Mexico City—especially in the south, where I grew up—and it has influenced why I choose to live in a constant kamikaze existence,” Ximena Sariñana said about the release.
With “Frágil,” now available on digital platforms, Ximena Sariñana kicks off the unveiling of her new album, which will also feature the songs from her acclaimed EPs ‘Ojos Diamante’ and ‘Rompe.’
