LOS ÁNGELES AZULES MAKE HISTORY ONCE AGAIN AT VIVE LATINO WITH A FULL HOUSE AT THE AMAZON MUSIC STAGE
On the same stage where they made their festival debut 12 years ago, they proved why they are the most important cumbia group in the world
Four of the most important women in mexican music—Ximena Sariñana, Natalia Lafourcade, Belinda, and Denise Gutiérrez—joined them for this unforgettable night
Miami, FL (March, 16 2024) – Under a stunning moon at the Amazon Music Stage, cumbia took over Latin America’s most important festival—Vive Latino—with the powerful entrance of Los Ángeles Azules, who returned to the event after 12 years. It was on that very same stage, known as “El Palillo,” where the group began an endless list of hits that have taken them across Latin America, the United States, and Canada—including a performance at Coachella in 2018. Without a doubt, a historic moment that will once again mark a turning point in the career of the legendary group from Iztapalapa.
“Entrega de amor,” “Cumbia del Acordeón,” and “Ay Amor” were the first tracks to echo through the crowd, instantly getting everyone dancing. And while they already had the stage and audience on fire, the Mexican band had even more surprises in store—including a lineup of star guests. Four of the most important women in Mexican music lit up the night with their powerful female presence.
With the energy at its peak, the first notes of “El listón de tu pelo” rang out, and Denise Gutiérrez was the first woman to take the stage, blending her voice with that of the iconic band from Iztapalapa. After this collaboration, they continued with “Mi niña mujer” and “Otra noche.”
Another of the most memorable moments came when Natalia Lafourcade took the stage to perform “Nunca es suficiente” with Los Ángeles Azules—one of the fans’ most beloved songs and the track that brought the group into YouTube’s prestigious Billion Views Club. Riding the momentum of this collaboration, they followed up with “Cómo te voy a olvidar,” “El amor de mi vida,” and “A todos los rumberos.”
Another highlight came when Ximena Sariñana appeared alongside the Mejía Avante brothers to perform “Mis sentimientos,” a song that currently boasts 1.3 billion views on YouTube—making them the only Mexican group with two videos surpassing a billion views on the platform.
To top off the night, Belinda and the band lit up the stage with “Amor a primera vista,” leaving the audience breathless and begging for more. Answering their call, the singer continued creating magic on stage by performing the first part of “17 años” with the band before exiting joyfully, arms raised in gratitude to the crowd.
As a final surprise, Los Ángeles Azules premiered their latest collaboration “Una nada más” for the very first time, accompanied by a stunning video, leaving the entire audience in awe and eager to hear it again.
Following this spectacular performance, Los Ángeles Azules reaffirmed why they are not only the most important cumbia group in Mexico, but in the world. After this unforgettable night, they have a long list of upcoming shows, including a performance at Lollapalooza in Argentina. Plus, on March 20, they will officially release their highly anticipated collaboration with Kenia OS, titled “Una nada más.”
