NATALIA JIMÉNEZ RELEASES THE MOST ESSENTIAL ALBUM OF HER CAREER ‘DE JIMÉNEZ A JIMÉNEZ’ PART OF HER TRIBUTE TO JOSÉ ALFREDO
MIAMI (October 10th, 2024) – The renowned Spanish artist with a Mexican heart, Natalia Jiménez, is releasing her new album, ‘De Jiménez a Jiménez’, today. The album features seven iconic songs by the legendary Mexican singer-songwriter José Alfredo Jiménez, recorded live at the Teatro Juárez in Guanajuato.
The production offers extraordinary live renditions of “Caminos de Guanajuato,” “Canta Canta Canta,” “Un Mundo Raro,” “Que Te Vaya Bonito,” “Amanecí Otra Vez,” “Deja Que Salga la Luna,” and “Si Nos Dejan,” with Natalia’s unmistakable voice accompanied by El Mariachi del Divo Alma de Juárez.
As a gift for fans, the album also includes a bonus track: “La Media Vuelta,” recorded solely with the purity of traditional mariachi.“I feel a deep love for Mexican music, as if it were my life’s mission to sing these songs,” Jiménez told Billboard Español. “Singing José Alfredo’s songs is an honor; he is an important part of Mexican culture, so it’s a huge responsibility.”
“Si Nos Dejan,” the focus track accompanying the album release, is undoubtedly one of the composer’s most popular songs, but it has never sounded quite like this, in Natalia’s unique voice and the magic created during the recording with El Mariachi del Divo Alma de Juárez, which traveled with Juan Gabriel for over two decades.
“One of José Alfredo’s most recorded songs is definitely ‘Si Nos Dejan.’ In fact, I’ve recorded it twice before, and that’s exactly why you have to make it your own, adding a personal touch. It’s the focus track, so it will be released simultaneously with the album. I think it’s a song that resonates with all of us at some point in life. That’s why it’s so significant and deeply moving,” said the artist.
Equally powerful are the other tracks, interpreted by Natalia Jiménez’s remarkable voice, which brings to life the greatness of Mexican music in an unforgettable concert. ‘De Jiménez a Jiménez’ follows her highly successful album ‘Antología 20 Años’, which highlighted her two decades as a professional in the music industry.
Natalia Jiménez recently concluded a successful tour across the United States and Mexico. Her next performance will take place in December at the “Bésame Mucho” festival in Los Angeles.
