The next album by Los Ángeles Azules seems memorable, at the moment the singles “Otra noche” feat. Nicki Nicole and “Esa parte de mí” Feat. Sofía Reyes and Esteman, who have become just a small taste of the caliber of personalities that will accompany the group in their next production of unpublished songs. Now they are releasing “Cumbia del corazón”, in which they have the participation of Carlos Vives, who puts all his Colombian rhythm to the song written by Joss Favela.
“I am very happy to participate in this song and to have recorded the video together with Los Ángeles Azules in my land, Colombia; this ‘Cumbia del corazón’ has rhythms from both countries and that is why it has everything to become a classic”, says Carlos Vives. Produced by Rodolfo Lugo and Jorge Mejía Avante, the single is accompanied by an official video that was recorded at the La Piel Roja tavern in Bogotá, Colombia and directed by Christian Schmid Rincón. From the very first moment, the clip offers a torrent of color that invites everyone to the dance floor.
“We were looking for a collaboration in Colombia, we wanted to be present in the cumbia of that country. With Carlos (Vives) we had a great chemistry, this song has that connection that will come from Mexico and South America to everywhere”, says Elías Mejía, a member of the group.
Los Ángeles Azules are the most important Mexican cumbia group worldwide: they entered the Billion Views Club on YouTube by surpassing one billion views of the video “Nunca es suficiente” Feat. Natalia Lafourcade and, more recently, with “Mis sentimientos” Feat. Ximena Sariñana. They are the only Mexican group to have two videos that exceed a billion views on YouTube. “Otra Noche” Feat. Nicki Nicole, released in November 2021, became the single with the most views during the first 80 days of its premiere in the history of the Mejía Avante brothers, and is currently the group’s most listened to single, adding + 78 million streams and +100M views on YouTube.
