LEÓN LARREGUI PRESENTS "BRILLAS (EN VIVO DESDE EL PALACIO DE LOS DEPORTES)": THE HIDDEN GEM OF 'PRISMARAMA'
ACCOMPANIED BY TWO OF THE MOST IMAGINATIVE MUSICIANS IN THE HISTORY OF MEXICO (MEME DEL REAL AND QUIQUE RANGEL FROM CAFÉ TACVBA), LEÓN PRESENTS A NEW VERSION OF THIS NATIONAL ROCK CLASSIC, THE CROWN JEWEL CALLED 'PRISMARAMA'
Miami, FL (November 7, 2024) – In 2024, León Larregui presented one of the most exciting projects in recent Mexican rock: the creation of ‘Mixarama,’ a series of remixes of the songs from his acclaimed album ‘Prismarama.’ This album, in addition to giving life to the already mentioned reworks, allowed León to experience one of the most important nights of his career, as the closing of ‘Prismarama’ took place with a concert at the Palacio de los Deportes last July.
What we didn’t expect was that the spirit of ‘Mixarama’ would echo in this incredible show. Today, Larregui surprises us with the release of a new version of his classic “Brillas,” where he is joined by two other legends of the national scene: Emmanuel del Real and Enrique Rangel, better known as Meme and Quique from Café Tacvba.
For this occasion, both Meme and Quique added new vocal and instrumental arrangements to León’s composition, giving new nuances to “Brillas,” which, combined with the thousands of voices singing every word of the song, offer one of the most moving performances in Larregui’s career.
Thanks to all of the above, “Brillas (en vivo desde el Palacio de los Deportes)” shows us that the legend of León Larregui continues to reap new successes, while showcasing an almost infinite curiosity to give new shades to his work.
