PATY CANTÚ SPEAKS TO HER INNER CHILD IN HER NEW SINGLE “A LA DE LU” FLAGSHIP TRACK OF HER ALBUM SAGITARIO
Hours before its release, 'Sagitario' reached #1 on both the general and Pop charts on iTunes
Miami, FL (March 27, 2025) – What would you say to yourself if you could talk to the version of you that started dreaming? For Paty Cantú, the answer to this question is “A la de Lu,” the new single that introduces her album ‘Sagitario,’ one of the most ambitious musical productions for the Guadalajara-born artist.
“A la de Lu” is presented as a letter of gratitude between Paty Cantú’s inner child and the woman she is today, through a chorus that references one of the hits from the duo where the singer began her career, which propelled her to become the renowned singer-songwriter she is now.
“In a way, ‘A la de Lu,’ with all its intentionally referential sound, is my way of talking to myself across past versions to warn me that it won’t be easy, but we will achieve it. It’s an imaginary meeting where I thank myself for dreaming, for fighting, and for overcoming the difficult parts of the journey,” Paty Cantú says about this song, which she co-wrote with Licenciado Cariño and produced alongside Just Roger.
This release is accompanied by an official music video that reflects the strength of the song, depicting how the singer talks to her past self while also addressing those who are going through emotional, psychological, or any type of abuse, with the message that they should not let themselves be defeated and recognize how strong, brilliant, and wonderful they are.
With “A la de Lu,” Paty Cantú leads the release of her new album ‘Sagitario,’ which features 13 songs that showcase the versatility and talent of the Drama Queen of Latin Pop. Hours before its release, the album reached #1 on both the general and Pop charts on iTunes.
This production includes the previously released songs “Al infiel” and “Al Mali (TQM bebé),” which together have accumulated over seven million streams on platforms, and features a much-anticipated collaboration with Pepe Madero, as well as a song dedicated to her mother.
