The collaboration with Grupo Frontera, regarded as a leading force in Mexican music, who recently celebrated their first Latin GRAMMY® for Best Norteño Album, further proves Sanz’s place as one of the most prominent artists in Latin music.
“For us to work on a song like ‘Hoy no me siento bien’ with an artist of Alejandro Sanz’s caliber makes us very proud because we have infinite respect for him,” expressed Grupo Frontera. “We are delighted with the result. The fusion of genres gives a great dimension to the song and the fact that we were able to work hand in hand with him and Edgar allowed us to add a little piece of our musical imagination to the song in a very natural way.”
The release is supported by a music video directed by Greg Ohrel, who worked with Sanz on the visual for “Palmeras en el jardín”. The video takes place in a block party that highlights both the good and the bad of these celebrations: the ups and downs, the joy, but also the conflicts. The contrast gives life to the lyrics of the song, conveying the message that not feeling good is also valid, while remembering that nothing is forever.
Alejandro continues to further his legacy in music and this new album promises to be one of Alejandro’s best bodies of work. Creating a new era for the singer with diverse collaborations exploring new sounds and kicking off 2025, which follows a strong year for Sanz with the release of “Palmeras en el jardín”, as well as his recognition with the Billboard Lifetime Achievement Award. He also announced his Netflix docuseries, ‘Cuando todos me ven,’ and participated as a panelist at Billboard Latin Music Week.
