In 2009, Sariñana won the MTV Award for “Breakthrough Artist” and received multiple nominations at the Grammy and Latin Grammy Awards. Her international festival presence is notable, with performances at events such as Coachella, Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, LAMC, Bonnaroo, Estéreo Picnic, SXSW, Wonderfront, Noches del Botánico, and Los Dells.
Ximena has collaborated with a wide range of artists including Miguel Bosé, Los Ángeles Azules, Natalia Lafourcade, Tegan & Sara, Dillon Francis, Ana Torroja, LP, Los Caligaris, Siddhartha, Little Jesus, Elsa y Elmar, Alejandro Sanz, Girl Ultra, Leonel García, Delaporte, AQUIHAYAQUIHAY, Ramona, Nsqk, Méne, Nanpa Básico, and Porter.
In 2019, she received three Latin Grammy nominations and was also recognized at the 2019 MTV MIAW Awards, where she won the “White Cat” award as an Agent of Change. Her dedication to activism has made her a spokesperson for organizations such as Greenpeace, WWF, Oceana, and The Young Center. She also became the first official ambassador for UN Women in Mexico and Latin America.
In 2024, Ximena launched the Hera Festival in collaboration with OCESA — an event promoting female-led music projects in Mexico City, featuring artists like Camila Cabello, Danna Paola, and Evanescence. That same year, she released the ‘Ojos Diamantes’ EP and the single “Chispa Roja,” previews of her upcoming sixth album.
For 2025, Ximena Sariñana is preparing the EP ‘Amar Duele,’ featuring three re-recorded songs from the film ‘Amar Te Duele,’ now available on digital platforms for the first time. She is also gearing up for the ‘Rompe Tour,’ which will visit 15 U.S. cities between April and May. The series of releases will continue with a second and third EP as a prelude to her next studio album.
